Sigh. I'm not sold. He looks dof in those shots
So what do you guys think? Looks pretty cool though the stunt double kind of looks retarded maybe to many crashes?

it still looks sad to me. think i will just skip this 'super hero' and stick with, i dunno, Batman?
vintage or not. he looks like a clown.
and i never really like Captain America.
i first started reading comics from Harvey, ie Casper, Richie Rich, Hotstuff. There was also the Archie comics.
Then I started reading Firestorm. i read whatever the local CNA had available. Then it was Hawk & Dove.
Think i read most of the X-Men comics, but didnt finish it.
I was never a big Superman fan. Not until the early 2000's. I got a couple of .cbz's at some lan or the other, of Elseworlds. and i loved it. but because it throws the super-heroes (batman, superman) in alternate realities (my favorite being with Darkseid), i wanted to know their true origins.
So i started reading Superman. I am a big fan now.
So you dont like Captain America because he looks like a "clown" but you enjoy reading about a hero who wears his underwear over his pants?I take it you have a spandex fetish. :P After killing and bringing back Superman so many times I lost interest, that's after castrating and basically making Doomsday just another run of the mill villain for Superman.
Also I would suggest you try reading the "Reborn Mini Series" of Captain America good stuff indeed. I love Captain because of his character and what he stands for he is one of Marvels biggest "leaders"
that is way too much speech going on there. way to self-righteous for my taste. sounds like a true lawful nut. let me guess, CA is not fallible?
what i like most about Superman is that despite his abilities, his morals & values, he still makes mistakes. In 'king of the world' series he really blew it big time, but he got back on the straight & narrow in the end.
Have you ever read any Captain America comics? Do yourself a favor and go read the Civil War series were Captain America fight the mutant registration act and goes up against people like Iron Man. Just because he is called Captain America does not mean he is not fallible.
Captain America is a leader in the marvel universe and he inspires other hero's who meet him that hole page I posted above was him giving spider-man a speech when he wasn't sure if the things he was doing were the right ones.
In the King of the world series he did not make a mistake, [Spoiler]He got mentally defeated/dominated and imprisoned by Dominus, who replaced him with a look alike, and he then proceeded to take over the world until Lex Luther and Lios released him.[Spoiler]
As for the the strait and narrow bit I found that to be over used: The Fortress of Soliloquy: It's all Superman's fault they use that plot device far too often in the Super-Man series. Some plot devices are meant to be used sparingly in a comic books Done rarely, it can be very effective over used it gets boring and dull. So Super-Man loosing it and getting it back again is getting a bit old, that's just my opinion though.
Also Batman said something pretty funny in one of the Justice League comics I have read: "Clark the only time you could inspire anybody is when you were dead"
Actually, don't follow Larch's advice, forget Civil War. Even though it was billed Cap vs Iron Man, the story was very large scale and featured a lot of the rest of the Marvel Universe. You want good Cap stories, you start with Ed Brubaker's run. The first volume is called Winter Soldier and it will not only teach you everything you need to know about Cap, but it will entertain you like crazy. Seriously good stuff.
In all the posts that people posted after this pic, Captain America is wearing spandex, yet here he looks like that guy from Kick Ass , or Spiderman when he was still calling himself "The Human Spider" [the cage fight?]. It kinda looks like he's parachuting somewhere.
Now i can understand if this is the WW2 scenery [and spandex being a bit out of place there], but surely that's only his "origins" clothing? Besides look at the cyborgs behind him, they look more out of place than him...
I assume that is not Captain America's suite for the entire story, maybe just part of his historical scenes?
I expect Captain America to look like this eventually:

Well then your hopes will probably be dashed. When the Avengers comes out, I'm fully expecting him to have a suit that's a bit sleeker and high-tech, but it will never match the comics 100%. For one thing, the cowl with the feathers would look completely retarded in real life.
Most of the movie will play off in the 2nd World War era (Captain America's Origin) Late 1940's, but they did say that he will show off the modern outfit near the end of the movie and later on in the planned avengers movie.
As for the guys in the background they are "hydra soldiers" basically well armored and armed to the teeth soldiers. They are Neo-Nazi terrorist organization built by Baron Strucker, and used by the Red Skull.
and the big "A" on his forehead. could stand for the a version of donkey![]()
