    Question Samsung 2333SW Problem

I bought a Samsung 2333SW at Prophecy back in 2009. It has started showing a vertical red line on the right side of the screen so I'm hoping to get it fixed. It's probably not under warranty anymore but do you guys know how I can get it fixed? Where can I take it for instance?

    Thanks for the help!

As far as I remember those monitors had a 2 year warranty so yeah it's no longer covered, though I don't officially know since I don't work for the shop. As for where you can take it to get fixed I think this question would probably be better directed at Samsung SA whether they have any repair centers near you.
Perhaps you can find out here whether there's a service center near you

Thanks SCHUMI_4EVER, that helps a lot. I see there's a service centre in Randburg so I'll give them a call on Monday.

You can contact a company called CRT. You will have to open an account with them (in your personal capacity) and they will (might) charge you. You will have to take your Prophecy invoice with, and ask them to repair it. Often they don't charge, even if they should, so not sure how it works.

Here is their website. They're in sandton close to Marlboro offramp.

Same thing happened with my 2333SW a month before the 3 year warranty could expire. Took it to CRT and they scanned the serial number. If it's still under warranty they won't charge you afaik. It took a week for them to repair it.

Same thing happened too three of my Samsung 2333SW's, luckily all under warranty and unfortunately it's not a repairable fix it's a direct swap out :-(

Hmm looks like there is a clear issue with those screens. I had the exact same issue with mine. I took it to CRT in Marboro, they scanned the code and it was still under warranty. They said it couldn't be repaired and gave me a new P2370. At the time I was irritated that I didn't get another 2333SW, but after reading this thread I may have dodged a bullet.

Only issue is my girlfriend bought a 2333SW on my advice (prior to the issues). I think its now out of warranty - just hope it doesn't develop this problem.
