    wanting to get better aftermarket cooling 4 my Radeon 4870's

    hi all

    iam wanting to get better cooling for my radeon 4870's that i have running in crossfire, i have the radeon 4870 force3d freezer dht and the first force3d radeon 4870 the one with the red plastic covering. i have looked around and i like the idea that is below just now sure on why the person use's 90mm fans and not 92mm fans like suggested by thermalright.

    2 x T-Rad2

    4 x Zalman ZM-F2RL 92mm Red Led , 92x92x25mm , 1500-2800rpm , 20-35dBA

    this guy HOWTO: Cooling HD4870 with Thermalright T-Rad2 - bit-tech.net Forums uses 2 x Akasa Amber 18db 90mm but on product site they say use either 1 x 120mm or 2 x 92mm fans, why he use 90mm?

    1 x Arctic Silver ArtiClean 1 + 2 Thermal Surface Cleaner + Purifier

    2 x Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound

    can prophecy help with obtaining these items perhaps please?

    One of the shop staff should reply soon

    What are your system specs exactly? Are the graphics cards too noisy? Too hot? Making the system crash?

    You're better off selling your cards and using the money you would've spent on cooling to upgrade to something like this (at minimum);

    Prophecy.co.za - Computer Hardware, Software, Accessories, Peripherals

    Else,

    Prophecy.co.za - Thermalright VRM-R2 VGA Cooler for ATI Radeon HD4890/HD4870

    Prophecy.co.za - Deepcool V6000 VGA Cooler for NVIDIA GeForce & AMD Radeon Cards

    You don't REALLY need the RAM sinks though.

    A 92mm fan will work on the T-Rad 2, the guy in the link provided probably used a 90mm as that's all he had lying around (Mounting holes are similar so it doesn't make a difference)
