Why is the forum super slow!? And why's it causing double posts and post warnings?

Server is most definitely taking strain today. New posts search is completely down for me and opening threads is taking a while.

Ive been having constant issues since last week, double posts, taking ages to post, most threads I need to reload 2 or 3 times before they open. But its not just here, its seems to be a general issue with all .co.za sites for me.

Bit of feedback, not sure how different it is from other peeps. Every so often I post something and then get a "server error" from the company firewall, yet the post went through?

Ok, forum should now be fast again. Can you guys confirm? Also, double posts should now be a thing of the past. I'm still working on the server (there is still something wrong), but at least it'll be fast and wrong now, in stead of slow and wrong.

Well I just got a notification from this post so at least that seem to work again

edit: and no sorry you have wait 20seconds after posting a message after I clicked the post button so things seem ok again

was the forum off yesterday from about 3pm? i could not open the site at work or at home. i got some weird database error....

Hi,

Sorry guys. I had to restore to an earlier backup of the database (taken early yesterday morning). Our database became corrupt and we couldn't save the data. Sorry about that.

The forums was down from around 3 pm yesterday till around 1 am this morning. We are still working on the problems and there will be more down time and slow downs over the next couple of days. Sorry for the inconvenience.
