Still upgrading my pc as I already have the game. :P
It's reassuring to hear that the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is skipping past the crowded March release schedule in favor of an April 19th launch in North America. If you missed out on the original game for any number of reasons, this is increasingly sounding like a worthwhile option given the extras packed in. That said, one look at the attached screenshots and you'll see that the gap in visual fidelity between PC and consoles is wide and only getting wider. But graphics don't matter to you that much, right? And according to Kotaku:
Via: The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 is, Thankfully, Still Very Much The Witcher 2No huge surprise there, since no feat of programming on earth could get an Xbox 360 game looking as good as The Witcher 2 running on Ultra or High on a current PC. But that's not to say it looks bad—while the lighting effects and high-res textures did serve to make the PC version look jaw-droppingly good, much of The Witcher 2 PC's look derived from a lush, well-realized art style. That art style carries over to the new game. If you hadn't payed The Witcher 2 on PC, you'd probably never notice that it doesn't look as good as it could. The only thing that sorta bummed me out was that Geralt himself looks a bit... gaunt? Drawn? At times, he looks looks younger and just... different than he did in the PC version, like some of the character has been leeched from his face. But really, don't let that bum you out—Xbox players won't even notice.

CD Projekt has released a developer video for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings which discusses the new quests, locations, and new NPCs included in the Xbox 360 version of the game. The developers also dig into the development of the console version, and explain how it is an “enhancement” of the original version, once again insisting the game isn’t “a port.” Upon release, the game will include all previous updates and DLC content released for the PC version, including the Arena arcade mode and Tutorial. PC users have not been left out either, as all new content included in the 360 version will be released for PC as well. Witcher 2 lands on the console April 17.

Perhaps you have heard that The Witcher 2 is really good? Because you know what, it really is! And even better, the version that's coming out for the 360 is still very much the same game that PC gamers fell in love with last year. The trailer above breaks down all of the updates and improvements in the 360 version, and does a very good job of selling the game. It also contains a fairly hilarious sex-euphemism—as Geralt slides his hand up Triss Merigold's naked thigh, the words "No Quality Compromise" flash across the screen.
