    Anyone know or searched for or heard anything about the UK government wanting to get rid of Ancestry Visa's?

    There was some talk about it in 2008 but haven't heard anything about it recently.

    I was lucky enough to get a passport before they clamped down some years ago. So fortunately no longer affected by this but I can't see them removing them as most Brits seem to be anti the idea.

    I also read some articles from 2008, just worrying as we now need to wait 4-8 weeks for passports and certificates before we can begin the application process.
