Quite enjoying the game so far. Teamed up with my bro to do some season 2 episodes. Interesting missions and nice rewards. Also trying to collect some stuff for my ready room. Theres a bunch of collectible items which kinda reminds me of the junk you used to collect for your house in EQ2.

Haven't seen my ready room yet... Just made Rear Admiral LH1 last night on my Engineer. Now I need to get myself ready to do the S1 stuff and slowly move up with the rest.

Hopefully getting back into STO today. Not sure if I should pick my old character up and try and figure out how much has changed in over a year or start a new character. Will have to see how tough it is ;-)

It is GOING F2P, it isn't yet

Shrike, I tried to pick up my science RA but just couldn't get into it so I took my Commander Engineer instead. Most of the older missions are much the same but overall there have been some changes. I'm now trying to get to grips with weapon and abilities again. Need to find a good build to reset into once the S1 end game stuff starts.

I was having fun breeding tribbles a year ago when I left, I shudder to think what those furrballs were doing in my absence. Still trying to track the parcel with the client on it Reavs, seems it got stuck somewhere, hopefully I can get it out of Speedservices' clutches before the weekend.

Eish, totally clueless. Usually getting back into an MMO I have played takes a little while but STO is so different. Going to start up a new character methinks, just to get the hang of it. Probably an engineer. I love the science game play though but starting another scientist just doesnt make sense.

I am a real sad puppy, played for 3 hours on my Commander. Average bandwidth usage = 41 megs an hour. I cannot afford that. Pity its a wasted $15.

Despite the cost, I did play at least 4 hours this weekend, just had to play! I had come of a 3 episode voyager watching binge so had to play! After 4 hours I remembered why I left the game in the first place. The missions still seem pretty formulaic, get mission, do space combat, scan things in space, beam to the ground, kill things, beam back more space combat. Next.

Also the insane amount of loading screens got my goat pretty quickly as well, guess I am spoiled on open world MMOs. You would think space would be a bit bigger.....

i've also been playing sto over the weekend. a lot of new things and good changes/updates were made.

i rolled a science officer, but regretting it atm. will re-roll to tactics again. already have a RA5 tac officer, but i forgot how to play the game. so my admiral will just be a bank officer now.

the only thing that is making me grind my teeth is the cutscenes. apparently at lt level you cant skip it by pressing the spacebar. after lt you can.

i've been playing STO for the last two weeks. on Tribble test server.

all i can say is the new content and stuff is ossim. i logged onto live server last night to buy some bridge officers (before f2p goes live), and i couldnt stand the current configuration. it was the fastest i switched servers

on a side note, i will be switching to Skyrim once that goes live. but i will continue to play STO. and i will be subbing too. after seeing the features matrix, it is the more sensible option - to not be limited in any way.
