perhaps but spending more on the board than the processor just doesn't sit right with me, I'd rather have a high-end processor and a mid-end board than a mid-end processor on a high-end board. Overclocking will only take you so far and the closest I can get to my goal at stock the better.

Bulldozer will have multiple variants, the quad channel requiring AM3+ and the dual channel requiring AM3.
