    Cool Corsair AX1200

Well what can i say, I read a huge amount of reviews and knew exactly what i was getting : pretty much the best power supply in the world at the moment.

Well thats exactly what i feel i have gotten.
The build quality is pretty much perfect.
    The cables are perfect.
The fully modular system is great.
and well, for power delivery, its super smooth.

I have not been able to give it a good test but that will be coming up soon (towards the end of the month, crossfire 5870's and a quad core at 6.5Ghz should do it, while running a 3D bench.

All i can say is it is beautiful. Packaging is great. Love the bags for the PSU and cables. Really handy when going for a benching session. All i can say, is you can feel the quality and power it has to deliver.

I give it full marks for everything.
Will do a followup as i set it through some of its paces.

Price you paid and pics please? Loving my AX750 watt and I'm gonna get a physx card soon. Can't get my system past 2.8ghz because of the RAM NB multiplier.

Ok, Here are some pics. I have not included all the cables (they are in my case) so shown is the pile of cables without a few (6 cables). Also is a pic of it next to my HD5870, so you can actually get an idea for the size of it.

I am currently running te following:

    AMD Phenom II 965 @ 4.2Ghz
Full custom waterloop, CPU only :Black Ice GTX240 and GTS360, No Res, MCP355
    ASUS Crosshair III Formula MB
    ASUS HD5870 1Gb @ 940/1300
Mushkin Redline 4GB kit(2x2Gb) at 6-7-5-15 1T @ 1600+ (depends on my OC, can go up to 1700 at those timings)
    1x Samsung F3 500GB OS drive
    80Gb Benching drive
    2 x 2TB Seagate 5900rpm drives
    1 x 2TB Samsung low power drive
    8 x Coolermaster R4 led Fans

I know its a bit overkill for everyday use, but i want to know that when doing a LN2/DICE session that my PSU is not ever going to restrict me, even if i use 3 x GTX580's or 2 HD6990's with it.

Also, frozenfireside, i got it for R2950 at a local computer shop(cant mention where). I could have gotten it cheaper, but i needed it the same day i paid for it.

Ok, So i ran some test now, And well lets say that this eats my system for beakfast. Easily. In fact i think it could power 2 full systems easily.
    anyways:
What i did to test :
Overclocked CPU to 3.8Ghz and @ 1.475v(can go higher but i removed a radiator the otherday so temps are a bit high)
    NB @ 2800 and 1.45v
GPU @ 900/1200 and 1.220v(can go higher but not liking me today )

Then i did the following, 3 runs of 3Dmark vantage, and on the 3rd run, I also ran Intel burn test, just to make sure the cou was 100% loaded.

I put one sensor at the fan of the PSU, to record incoming air temps :

And then another Sensor at the Exhaust of the Unit:

    Results are as follows :
This is the idle temps, you can see its at 30.5*C and there is a difference of0*C

After runs, I got about 33*C and a difference of almost 1*C but still nothing big at all.
I would have to say that throught testing i could not hear the fan speed increase at all nor did the case of the PSU get hot. It was slightly warm to the touch but other than that, it was very cool and did not even hint that i was trying to load it at all. Very solid and extremely stable.

    AMD PHII 1090T, ASUS Crosshair III, ASUS HD6990, Custom Waterloop, Corsair Dominator GT, Corsair AX1200, 1 x 500GB, 3 x 2TB drives
