The second edition of the PH podcast, now with added MMO!
As a general comment, I think we didn't have nearly as many technical issues in recording it this time, but there's still room for improvement (especially on the breathing front) but it's not as bad as last time, promise.
Anyway, this one weighs in at roughly 27MB and runs just short of an hour. Of that runtime, nearly half is dedicated to MMOs.

FFS...can you not just stick an announcement somewhere? I saw this thread already, I hate being ****ing force fed what I must or must not read.
The podcast's fine...the audio is still a bit ****ty quality but the content makes up for it. Be nice to have some more open ended debate about the general tech scene.

Nice good going, had some good MMO coverage there . Skurm's audio started off bad [Dead Space part] and then it all got better when it was MMO timeSo when Champions Online's NDA lift, i assume we'll get some good commentary on that eh?

Good podcast. Bit too heavy on the MMO side for my liking, but that's personal preference.

Hmm, i was using one, brand new though so not really tested or broken in. Mic volume probably too high, I guess I'll do more tweaking and fiddling.P.S. Skurm, you really need a noise canceling mic or something, man.
*edit* just giving it a listen now and it did get better later (after the dead space bit). I figure I just needed to break it in, let Skype autoadjust.

Podcasts are made of win. You can actually catch up with gaming and still pretend to work. Alt-tabbing "googled reviews" when management walks into your office just looks bad.
I tried to listen but the quality was killing me. Sorry to be so harsh okes, the content looks great but I couldn't survive 2 minutes due to sound quality.

The "Force users to read a thread" hack really should be used more judiciously... If people care they'll read it by themselves...
I say make a menu item up top, next to "RSS Feeds" for Podcasts and then link to the entire archive in some form.
I use an app to subscribe to podcasts (Zune and Juice) and it will pull them down every week automatically, looks like a normal RSS Feed type of thing. This also makes it easy to grab older podcasts and figure out which ones you already have or don't have.
