Due to time constraints, we did it slightly differently this week, with myself acting more as an interviewer in a series of one-on-one chats about the following:
- Gamescom announcements
- PS3 slim & price drop
- The console war and why everyone's losing ground
- Wii 3rd party sales
- Downloadable games
- Shadow Complex
- District 9 (part one)
- The forum upgrade - why it was done and what is in store
- Champions Online: post NDA - http://www.prophecy.co.za/forums/top...mpions-online/
- Guild Wars 2 announced - http://www.prophecy.co.za/forums/top...-guild-wars-2/
- Blizzcon preview
- If Starcraft 2 has no LAN, and no one cares, does it make a sound?
- District 9 (part two)
Interviewees: Strawdog, Firestar, Tank, Skurm, Eyegod
Hope everyone enjoys. As always, comments welcome.
Great Podcast guys - Keep it up.
@Thrawn - Love the Ubisoft comment.![]()
Another great installment.
It was good to hear Firestar address the forum upgrade. It gave it a much more personal feeling ^_^ and also gave some clarity on the whole move. Thanks for that. I <3 Prophecycon
The quality was top notch this time round.
I also'ed , first time I noticed Skurm doesn't say "r". It was really cute.
From what I could understand SC2 is taking some pages form the savage book? (Can someone just help me out here)
Nice one eyegod. Didn't know douchebag is podcast safe
The end of the podcast was very abrupt.
I was like OMGWTFBBQSAUCE where did the people go?!one!eleven
But ja, great stuff. Keep it up
~ Without a framework working in GWT is like have making love the first time .. nobody knows how to do it right, but every one is still having fun ~

Just a question - does it contain D9 spoilers? I still wanna go watch.
And this week, we do have something for the Wii contingent![]()

As fate would have it, the one time I'm called upon to be part of a podcast, I'm suffering the worst flu I've had in years, so if my voice sounded a little funny, I blame that. Thanks Thrawn for giving me a shot - it was fun and would love to do it again![]()
All your tree are belong to me.
Wow this one was much better than the other two in terms of editing and clarity, could hear Tank and Skurm perfectly(ok a little scratchy but nothing major)
Content was pretty good too and it really seemed to fly by, everyone seemed a little more chilled and less formal that really showed.
Excellent job on this one guys!

Congrats on another great podcast.
Just some crit.
This podcast felt more like a news report with the 'interview' way you went about. It boiled down to: "Tell us about xyz" ; "Talks about xyz at length."
I get it was impossible to get everyone together, but the previous podcasts felt more 'chatty', as if some blokes were grabbing a cuppa chatting about games. I missed the in-between banter, and questions in the middle and the chirps and laughs. I would love to have at least 3 people in the same channel again.
With blokes like Firestar and Eyegod - guests, so to speak - the interview works well on their own. But for the main content, I preferred the former.
My 2c.
Yes, stop slacking, Thrawn! Drop that post grad thing and start doing decent podcasts, for crying out loud! Seriously, what is this further studies crap?![]()

Yeah, better audio and general editing, formal interview style not so much - but clearly that was in place of nothing, so could be excused. Unfortunately the areas covered and local nature of the content, such as it goes, don't interest me as much as the other podcasts I already subscribe to, so I may leave it for now. But good luck with it, could really fill a gap in the market and be something to bring the community together.

It's not the ideal, I agree Gamos. However, it was unfortunately the only way I could accomodate everyone, due to my own RL post-grad studies, etc.

Just to give an alternative viewpoint here: I preferred podcast #3 to the previous ones, partially because the general improvements in quality and production that other have mentioned, but also because the "interview" format gave the whole thing a sense of structure and purpose that previous instalments lacked.
