Thanks, Jude. This really helps a lot.

However, I struggle to understand why they make it this complicated? Seriously? Why the need to register and why only certain products? Why not end the product code with -10, -3, -2, or -1, if they really want to have 4 different warranty periods? That will make it really easy. This is just confusing as hell.

    Hi Firestar

The End of the code indicate the Region that the card has been manufactured and sold in (EMEA, US, Taiwan etc) so that they are able to work out things like grey import card.
There are some cards that are cheaper than others but then will have a reduced warranty as well for example, this is indicated in the Suffix as well.
The reason that they ask for the card to be registered is so they they can track when the cards are purchased and to accurately offer a proper 10 year warranty (hence the requsting for invoices to be uploaded) otherwise some people might have a card for 5 years before registering it, sell it to someone else, and just say "hey man, register it and have a 10 year warranty on your second hand card" which is not what the warranty offers.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Jude
