The Gigabyte components' warranties are handled by Rectron and are only local. Our notebooks have an internantional warranty though. Which product are you referring to?

Is the Gigabyte 3-year warranty truly international? The reason I ask is because I know of a recent RMA to Rectron where the paperwork stated "out of warranty" although the product was swapped out. Can a simple lookup be done via serial number, and who actually does this?

The product I am referring to is an X58 UD7 board. It was won at an overclocking competition, started acting up, and was then RMA'd. While it was swapped out, the paperwork from Rectron says "out of warranty". So (a) does it have warranty, or (b) no warranty and Rectron did someone a favour?
This will be my last X58 board and I want it to last (as such it must have warranty), in case I don't upgrade...hey, miracles do happen.
I'm sure it was still under warranty. All the Gigabyte motherboards we sell come with a 3 year warranty. If it was a case that the board was not supplied by us then we probably did a favor. If you can give me the serial number I can check it for you![]()
