I have a mother board that i purchased but not from rectron now i would like to know will it be possible to get rectron in Port Elizabeth to send the motherboard to gigabyte sa for rma? I will be willing to pay a handeling or consolation fee if needed.

As far as i know rectron is the sole importer of Gigabyte products in SA.

mobo is ex vivi and he bought ovaseas..bt i know the mobo is not that old must have some kinda warrentee so idnt have a supplier oj..
I really don't know then, the warranty might not be honoured locally :/

Good luck with that, I seriously doubt Rectron would take it, if it didn't at least come into the country through them, they have no reson to honour the warranty.Originally Posted by |BooTLasH|

Rectron won't take that board, I'm afraid. They won't even book in a board that didn't come from them. You have two choices here, really. Give it back to Vivi, or send it over seas. Nobody in SA will touch that board, I'm afraid.

My 4870X2's local warranty "disappeared" so it had to be sent to hong kong. its been 3 weeks i think and the replacement should be here on wednesday. Dont expect a miracle of any kind dude.

When Goddy sold it he DID say there was no warranty.
