    I love this thread!

SimCity 2000 is finally available on Abandonia !

It's only the DOS version, which is pretty crappy.. The SimCity 2000 CD has the proper win32 version that will run in all modern windows OSes and also MacOS up to v9 though
Sometimes life seems like a dream, especially when I look down and see that I forgot to put on my pants.

In late 1996 this top-down racing game took all by surprise with it's addictive nature and excellent gameplay.

In 2009, Remedy is proud to announce the free re-release, Death Rally for Windows. The original game, ported to run on modern PCs.

    Hi guys and gals

Don’t know if this has been posted yet but here goes.

The Dos games have two applications you can run them in,or what works best for me. This basically lets you play the dos games with your windows.

    SCUMMVM

    http://www.scummvm.org/

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

    DosBox

    http://www.dosbox.com/

DOSBox is a DOS-emulator that uses the SDL-library which makes DOSBox very easy to port to different platforms. DOSBox has already been ported to many different platforms, such as Windows, BeOS, Linux, MacOS X...

DOSBox also emulates CPU:286/386 realmode/protected mode, Directory FileSystem/XMS/EMS, Tandy/Hercules/CGA/EGA/VGA/VESA graphics, a SoundBlaster/Gravis Ultra Sound card for excellent sound compatibility with older games...

You can "re-live" the good old days with the help of DOSBox, it can run plenty of the old classics that don't run on your new computer!

DOSBox is totally free of charge and OpenSource.

Check our "Downloads" section for the most recent DOSBox version

Hope they work! I love some of these old classics!

Played Golden Axe the other day…epic fun!

The new ones have been swak.

Old school UFO Enemy Unknown or TFTD were just epic.

This new stuff is just weak and doesn't capture 1/100th of the atmosphere of those original ones.

I used to love getting a guy's psy skill up to godlike and taking on their entire team from within by taking control of their own guys. set up a nice defensive perimeter with long range rifles and high sniper skills and then one guy wandering around taking on their whole team. But then if he died I was buggered :/
