Looking for a great strategy game

Hi peeps, it's been quite a while since I played a lekker strategy game.

What would you consider the best 3 in the last two years you've played? Please, anything but SC2, never like the series, don't know why.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm busy playing 2070 and I can say that the Anno series is more about simulation than a RTS, but still very good games.

It all depends on what you want in a RTS game.

Shogun 2 is a brilliant game. Total war games incorporates everything from strategically managing your empire to deciding the tactics of a few men. Add good sound and good looks to the game and you have a winner.

World in Conflict is something to behold. Released in 2007 in the year of the Crysis it's considered old, but just like Crysis it has amazing visuals. Its not really a full blown RTS, because you only command a few units with no base and you only focus on tactics.

Never played the Anno games proper, just recently played the demo of anno 2070 and it did not grab me as an rts game, but its good in its own way. Truth be told never played World in Conflict, just one of those games that passed me by...You can also try RUSE, only played the demo, but did not have cash at the time to buy the game...
