Playing Shadow of the Damned, highly entertaining and pretty good despite its flaws, the japs know how to make extremely weird games.

Oi, back up right there. Epic Yarn is awesome and Canvas Curse is still one of the most addictively fun games in recent memory.

The only flaw that SOTD has was the poor marketing. It's by far one of my fav games of 2011. Highly underrated.

That was kind of my point. Kirby is super fun but it's all bright and colourful and light (I wouldn't call it kiddy).
Basically I was trying to "ridicule" his apparent misconception that in order for a game to be good and/or worth his time it has to be all dark and gritty and preferably only composed of 3 colours.
He's obviously not a fan of the Wii's bright and colourful and fun approach to gaming over graphics and complexity.

Yeah, key words here: 'ridicule', 'apparent', and 'misconception'. As a mod you should perhaps try not to ridicule people for their apparent misconception and learn that tastes differ. Just because I call a game shit doesn't mean it's shit - it just means I think it's shit. Next time you have a problem with that you can either shut up or create a new thread and call out about it, rather than derailing this thread because you're trying to prove a point that's rather pointless.

Moving on: I think Skyrim bit me again. Though I'm getting super frustrated cos sometimes it's just SO hard to find paths to objectives, especially if there's mountains involved. Gawd - spent the whole evening looking for a single cave, but I just couldn't get there.

Otherwise looking forward to a Syndicate co-op session tonight!

After a few too many drinks I decided to try get past the place I was stuck in Dead Space 2. I did it first time. Drunken celebration ensued once I reached the next save point.

Picked up Borderlands again yesterday: finished Zombie Island DLC, and moved on to General Nox. Must say this game is a ton of fun. The variety is just awesome and you really have to think on your feet. I'm quite excited to see how Borderlands 2 turns out. Minus the WUB WUB!

I ordered two copies for the 360 this morning, cause the wife seems pretty interested in playing this after she watched the trailer for #2. I haven't played it either.

    I got stuck:

at the bit where you are on the ship from DS1 again and down that long corridor where 2 Tanks attack you. All I had was a plasma cutter, 20 rounds for it and one stasis module.

In between finishing of work things before my vacation and actually going vacation I haven't had much xbox time. Come 12 March I'll hopefully have enough time to actually sit down and finish it, but at the moment I only have 10 minutes here and 15 there etc.

Very worth it. If you were a bit higher-level I'd invite you to join us. We could power level you to 40 in less than an hour, but that would kill the enjoyment if you're playing it the first time.

Been playing BF3 on ps3 since launch but got it on PC now. Almost completely different games. The graphics on pc is obviously much better, game-play is more challenging with the increased accuracy from using a mouse. Loving it.

Hackers are no rare occurrence though. At least they don't last long when someone notices but still a pain. Lets me wonder how many guys are actually hacking without getting caught. Punk buster needs to be improved because this is all happening on PB protected servers.

This game is bad-ass! It's a side-scrolling beat'em-up/shoot'em-up platformer, super violent, has a beautiful comic-style presentation, great sound/music and tight controls. You should play it. +-R100.

Playing Assassins Creed: Arkum Asylum err I mean Batman. I am getting a AC feeling from the 2nd game maybe because I played so much AC before moving over to Batman.

Arkham City is better than every single Assassin's Creed game in pretty much every aspect.

I just hope the story isn't ripped from another movie again and that's it's a bit longer this time and less cheap.

Batman is click click click. Does everything for you. The moves do look cool. The first ten times you do it. But gets REALLY stagnant after a while. ONLY played this for the story.

Assassin Creed is much more different. You need to time things right and with the new one makes it more challenging.
